Returning Tires to Pirelli

Can I pick which sets are returned?

Simply use the tires you wont use in race, the two most used tyre sets are returned to Pirelli. This will happen after every practice session.

I thought that but a couple of times I returned new tires and kept used one for some reason.

i think its broken, cause my understanding was the most used as well so my thinking was to only use 1 tyre per sessiopn to have extra softs for race if needed, but the ones that went back were the 100% ones.

Its not broken. There are specific sets that are taken back (as highlighted with the return arrow). You are supposed to use those for practice.

Eh no. Those arrows only show up after they've been returned.

I'm currently staring at my tires pre-FP1 and there's no arrows. Just the locks one the sets locked for the race.

Uh, you have to return 2 sets at the end of every session. At least per the regulations.

out of all your sets 2 are returned per practice session. If you use one only it will just take the first unused tyre from top left so normally a red soft one even if it used or not. It will take the 2 most used sets. So if you were to use 2 sets of mediums it would take those..

If you only used 1 set of medium then you would probably loose an unused soft.

trying to see any sign on tires to see which of my intermediate tires are going to be returned. I see nothing so i use the leftmost one and i guess thats my luck but the returned tire is one of other one at 100%

Yeah those signs he mentioned above only show up once the tire has been returned.
