The Expanse: A Telltale Series
The game needs proper save-function.
For a game with primarily storytelling it is annoying that I cant save normaly. If I have to run away from the PC for whatever reason I have to replay a lot since the last autosave.
I hate that I can not pickup where I left off and unfortunately for me gaming is sneaking in 30 min here and there and sometimes longer. Replaying for 5 minutes at the start of every session is ridicoulous.
Also similarly when running the laser gauntlet in the beginning of the game. If you die you have to rewatch some cinematic and just start at the beginning every time. It just feels punishing.

or at the very least a way to skip the dialogue. Having to listen to the same slow banter over and over again because you didn't have enough time to make it to the next invisible checkpoint is maddening.
Also accidentally clicking on something like a recording and having to listen to several minutes of monologue before you can do anything else is just developer sadism.
lacking basic QoL was an annoyance in the 90's. no excuse for it 30 years later
I agree. We need a proper save and a skip dialogue.
ALL games need manual saving. This over-reliance on autosaves with few to single save slot is incredibly frustrating.
I can't even get past the 2nd episode intro because it keeps saying my saves have been corrupted...
Yup, Iove the game and Deck Nine otherwise, but this is sapping a lot of my enjoyment.
I get wanting to let players live with the consequences of their actions, that's great.
But the devs don't get to decide how much emotional trauma they can inflict and how many heavy choices I have to make in a single play session.
And that's on top of not having a bare minimum system in place of telling you when saves are made and how long since the last one.
