Tribes Vengeance bot help

Sorry if this doesn't belong here. I can't find a community where I could ask for help and since I'm already on Steam I thought that I might as well ask here and take the risk of getting this thread removed by a mod.

Well because I dislike to play online with other people I usually like to play FPS offline with bots instead. And I'm having trouble with the instructions for making maps with bots from the TV-Bots-todo file from this site, http://tribesvfiles.wobo.cz/tribes-ai.html

The instructions aren't very clear to me. I moved MP_Template_Bots to the map folder of the TV install location according to the instructions and it's not showing up at all in the map list when I play the game. I thought that if I loaded the template map in the game I could use it to make bots for other maps using special features in the template map or something. I guess not.

Do I need to do this all manually which sounds like a tedious job for someone who doesn't know diddly squat about modding the game ?
