they could give information that e.g. the game will be on PC Steam in early 2025 and everything would be clear
And here there is silence
and no one knows what's going on

On skydance's twitter they've been tweeting the same reply to everyone asking about a steam release. "We've been actively developing for PCVR and Steam since day one and will have more to discuss in the coming weeks."

Yes, no reason why they can't do that

It's very sad to see the devs not include this on steam for day one. Would have been another good example that there is still life in the PCVR platform. Metro Awakening has nearly double the reviews on steam than the meta store (for quest) which is a good indication that it sold better than on standalone. I'm pretty sure this would have done the same if PCVR players were able to get it on launch. Instead it will be delayed on PC and then people will just say its sales were bad on the platform (when it eventually releases) because PCVR is dead. Hardly anyone will bother buying it on the Rift store.

The sales will be bad on PC because by the time it comes here, the reviews will be in and it will be just be another Meta Mobile garbage port.

Yep. Metro had tons of Meta low quality textures on the PCVR version.

Yea, I was disappointed with Metro, stopped playing it just after 1h. I got it on PSVR2 and the mura was very very bad. The reason mura was bad was due to their lazy port.

You know the dream sequence where the screen should have been aboslute black (and he wakes up and sees all of the body parts hanging). Well, that scene was horrible in the PSVR2 because the devs didn't use true black and instead used the Meta very light grey b/c it would look like trash on LCD otherwise. But on an OLED, if they spent time developing properly, they would have used true black and it would have looked great.

That is the sorry state of these Meta Garbage Ports to superior VR platforms such as PC and Playstation.

I don't have high hopes for the PCVR version of the game. What tends to happen with these Quest compatable PCVR games is that they end up being designed for the Quest Snapdragon GPU. In other words, If you have an RTX 4090, it will make absolutely no difference. Maybe just slightly clearer.

Man, you really should give it a try, and stop being so much on graphics. Metro is a really good VR game. Don't compare it to actual PC games, compare it to ACTUAL VR games. Trust me, it is a great experience. With flaws, sure, but still a great experience, and in this style, we don't have that much. Enjoy !

That's quite an exaggeration, I've just played Vampire Masquerade: Justice, which I had played on Quest 3 when it first came out and there is a very clear difference compared to PC which is far superior in visual clarity and quality even being a simple port of the Quest version.
And the same is true for almost any game I can think of. PCVR versions always look way better. As good as they could? no, surely not but still way better.

I don't think anyone would mind the PC VR version being later if it also looks significantly better. As in, uses actual high-quality assets instead of just a higher resolution. Doesn't really seem to happen a whole bunch though.

Why TF are streamers playing the PCVR version but it's not released on steam?? Screw this company not buying your game if you let a bunch of streamers play it but not customers. fk off off my wishlist.
