Worth the buy or wait for SALE?
So many mixed opinions. Also how many hours are in the game?

its a good game, i played it all, i enjoyed it.

Theres about 11 hours of gameplay if you do occasional collecting of the collectibles, not full on searching

Game is fun, solid 8.5/10. But they need to do optimization work so maybe wait for the next patch.

I just saw the results of Steam Game of year awards....Vr Game of the year is Metro Awakening VR!

People still carrying a flag for PCVR are kicking a dead horse. Even when/if Valve puts out their new headset, the sales aren't there to develop anything compelling. Even the most throwaway party games are more fun on Quest because you don't have to start the game on your PC and connect, and all that garbage. They makle it easier and easier and it's still just too much of a hurdle. I'd rather just play flatscreen games or native Quest games than deal with PCVR. All that work for stuff like Alien Incursion and Behemoth is just not worth it at all when you can play Asgards Wrath 2 and Batman.

It's game of the year - so of course worth buying:

Quote: "Behemoth contains so much of what makes VR gaming great, which not only rates it our top pick for our PC VR award this year, but also handily puts it on our shortlist of must-play VR games."

Behemorth is also my game of the year - and not I did not write "VR game of the year", but "game of the year".

Even if SubSide, Blade & Sorcery 1.0 and Underdogs are great too, if you have a fast gaming rig, Behemoth is king.

Be into VR on Steam long enough and you'll find that Rune just likes EVERYTHING that's on PCVR and if it isn't on Quest, the better. He's just flying a flag for PCVR and you can't really take his opinion seriously cos he's just fighting a war against standalone VR. If there were more games like Vertigo 2, Lone Echo and Alyx, I would totally be into PCVR but THERE ISN'T. THE FACT IS PCVR has nothing worth while to do in it that standalone can't also do. Miniscule graphical improvements like dynamic shadows can't make up for poor game design. I mean after all if you've played enough games, are you really being tricked by game graphics still?

As far as VR games go, this one is great. Descent combat, fun exploration and movement. Some nice puzzles. And a descent story. My first play-through was probably 9ish hours? I tried to get as much of the secrets as I could. Usually they're not terribly secret but that's fine.

My only complaint is each new region had a unique puzzle mechanic and you seldom reused many. I am sad that it's over but I'm happy it happened.

I tried it and returned Behemoth before the 2 hours were up. We're on PCVR, we've had Blade and Sorcery and Hellsplit: Arena for years. Combat felt worse than these two, and with my current headset my health bar was low and blurry outside of my lens sweet spot.
This game had way more hype than Metro and was thus more disappointing. I wish I had skipped Metro, the 2nd half or last third of the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible. Opening is slow and boring too.

I'll be back for a sale for Behemoth, hopefully patches improve the game by then as well.
I keep getting ads saying that this is on sale. But it's still regular price on Steam. The ad has the steam logo at the end. Deceptive marketing practices?
sale, blade and sorcery is still better
