Atomic Essence meaning

Does Atomic Essence reduce cooldowns on all special abilities or only specifically Arcane ones? Because there are non-arcane abilities that could be considered magical but likely arent. I'm clinging onto a Holy Falchion but can probably ditch it if it's not actually helping my Paladin at all.

It doesn't affect the cooldown of bard (Theatrics) skills so I'm assuming it won't affect Warfare abilities either.

Thanks. Weapon generation in this game seems so bad, as a pure good paladin I basically have to use any holy weapons I find, wasn't sure if it was worth it or not to keep using a damage 105 falchion with +3 atomic essence and +5 rage of ages plus holy damage, instead of switching over to a dagger that does 202 damage plus holy damage and 56 sonic damage. I just wish it would stop generating daggers at this point, I don't want to use a dagger, I want to use a Longsword, but you can't add a holy enchantment to anything.

Do you mean the "+ Bonus Holy Amr Val" thing? I think it only affects Holy Smite/Heal, but it is pretty powerful at high alignment scores but I don't think you'll miss much if your weapon doesn't have it. Though I'm not sure if that's the only thing it affects since this game is pretty bad at explaining stuff.

I was under the impression the holy weapons did more damage the more good you were while the unholy did more the more evil you were

I don't think that's the case but I might be wrong. As I said, it's hard to find out how things work in this game and the wiki doesn't help either. As far as I'm aware Paladins deal extra damage based on how good/bad they are regardless of the weapon.

I just wanted to pop back in to say that despite playing for over 100 hours this is the first time I saw a weapon with "+ Bonus Holy Damage" which I think is what you meant and different from "+ Bonus Holy Amr Val". I think you're right about that one, I just didn't know it existed. They seem to be incredibly rare or maybe I'm just unlucky.

They are pretty rare but if you're running a Paladin or Dark Paladin they're literally the only weapons worth using, the damage stacks so hard I've one-shot enemies 20 levels higher than me
