There's another game mode, unlimited days, which you can set when you create a new character - this might be the mode you are after for a future gladiator as it removes the 300 day restriction and lets you take your time - but it does remove the urgency and challenge from the game, be warned.
The 300 days is very pressing, I would have liked to continue using my character forever, it is horrible to have to start all over again
It would be great if in the next update there would be a button to use my character again in the story and in multiplayer. As a player of the entire saga I would recommend adding puzzle games like tavern quest, it would be the perfect sword and sandals
What a pity. I was excited for this but looking through a couple of topics makes me aware of some glaring pet peeves.
There will be in a few days, multiplayer is coming
It's about the pressure and the hype. You can feel the doom coming onto Brandor and so on. It makes the game much more exciting knowing in 300 days the Starbound Gladiator comes and if you're not ready the entire planet will be consumed, nothing will be left. And I don't see the problem with that, if u dont like it just play on Unlimited, problem solves
The imposed time limit is completely optional, but I carefully designed the game as a race against time, where choices matter and where the threat of existential doom is very real. An endless mode does not mean a meaningless mode, it just removes that extra layer of challenge. I've also got different difficulty settings and even a permadeath mode so gladiators can play how they want.
In complete honesty, Antiga, from reading your comments on a few of these forum posts, I'm going to say it looks like this game may not be for you so maybe watch a few long play videos on it before making a call, as the last thing I want is for you to download it, dislike it and then leave a negative review.
Maybe try something like "We Who Are About To Die" which is much closer to a real Roman gladiator simulator, and a lot of fun. "Domina" is great too.
yes, which is kept completely separate from the single player game. characters are either for the solo game or for multiplayer, not both
Indeed you are correct
