You gradually get stars overnight and they are an option when you beat an arena champion. Currently working on my lvl 64 wizard and I always get stars as one of the two options.

^ This.

You also get +1 star every time you win a fight if I'm NOT mistaken

Aaand you also get the option to pick up stars when you beat Regional Champions

There will also be a way to 'mine' for stars in a patch soon ( at the cost of losing some days )

I'm currently at the end of the game (2 grand champions left) and have a star drought issue. I have to fight regular gladiators 1 by 1 to get 1 star as a reward since I've gone way past my 300 day star gain limit and beaten every regional champion
Is this implemented and I'm just missing it or is it still being worked on?

Ah okay, yeah the 300 day star limit is a new thing, I will add a patch this week to allow you extra ways to gain some stars for sure.

huge, thanks pog
it probably isnt a problem for anyone doing a 300 day limit run but on unlimited if you buy your abilities or use respec you very quickly run into having to do more than 20 days worth of gladiators for the stars to re-try the doomtrek

Stargazer at level 1 is a must. This gives u 3 stars per day. Add 4 more from beating each enemy (which u should do also for gold, even if u get 0 xp), and u get 7 stars per day. It's just enough to buy all u need assuming u spend smart and know exactly what u need. Also, boss reward prioritization goes like this
Stats >= unique items (nice to have even if u wont use em) > green enchanted item >= stars > gold

The early boss gives strong enchanted green sword that I take for myself, but most of the time I pass the green weapons for stars, assuming I've already taken the permanent stats and unique items, if there's any

Also, wizard sucks hard early game (and mid game, and late game), so it's a pain to play especially on higher difficulties (see how long it will take u to win ur first fight after Bruce the Useless as a wizard on nightmare difficulty). Not much u can do about this, it is what it is.

Also, when farming, wear armor that will give u the talents that give u extra alignment/stars/gold on win. Also if u use cheat engine, u can use speedhack to make the game at x4 speed. It makes everything MUCH faster, a must for people who've already played the game once, everything just takes so much less time (except the loading screens ofc, if its gotta load its gotta load). But if u followed my guide gaining 7 stars per day plus max gold from beating all 4 enemies, buying mount at around level 15-20 and following optimal path to not waste any days plus having equipment that reduces cost of shops/enchanting/forging, u should easily have all the stars and gold in the world by the time ure level 80. For reference, im on day 85 and im already level 40 on my nightmare + tough bosses ON + permadeath playthrough for ultimate challenge + highlander achievement, ive cleared nearly the entire upper half of the map at this point. Im also practising for speedrunning when the game is fully released and we make a category on speedrun.com

Because it makes the actual fight much faster, only limited to ur reaction time. Its like if everything was instant and had no animation time at all.

I would never use cheat engine to actually cheat, but since I do many runs, the speedhack massively shortens the amount of time a fight takes, it just increases ur time efficiency so much. Its like imagine u could go to work, and instead of work 8 hrs, u turn on speed hack x4 and ure done with work in just 2 hrs. Thats how its like
