So far i do not exactly have great results with the T64. I'm having a bit of trouble getting used to the no laser rangefinder thing.
I don't quite get how to properly use the "i'm seeing like i just downed 12 tequillas" rangefinder.
It's great that the new russian APSFDS rounds can penetrate M1Ps at 800meters and M1s at double that, but the soviets kinda forgot to couple that with optics that can actually see targets.
The more modern M60s can lase&blast anything at pretty large distances. And even those that do not have laser rangefinders at least have zoom. While they can see poor me crouched in the soviet monstrosity from several KM, from my point of view it looks like i'm being fired at by a distant field. I don't see a tank - just incoming projectiles.

BTW, i'm not really complaining here, i love GHPC, i love the new features, the unit visibility on the map, and btw, i live in the West, so seeing that russian tech is a lot more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than is making me sleep better.
Oh, can someone tell me what's the walkie-talkie icon for, what does it mean?
play the tanks tutorial, I didn't understand the rangefinder at first but the tutorial for the tank got me whipped up quick. I think it's a-lot better than the m60 rangefinder.

the bad part about this rangefinder is if you don't have a 4k display you can't use it

Devs confirmed it's not planned unfortunately. I think there were starting to be deployed to Germany in 1985 but not in the geographical area the game focuses on. I'd also be ok with a slight twisting of historical reality for this but eh.

Anyhow, can't wait to test the new missions.

The M1A1 would not enter europe until 1987, but the leopard 2 will be available later in the development of the game.
Yeahhhhh

But anyway, anyone else find the IFV driving a little light in the loafers?

Agreed - the Brad seems to drift like a WRX on many turns for me, and that just doesn't look/feel right, even if it is in keeping with some realistic performance envelope.

The T-64A rangefinder is pretty easy, no? Why is that you can't use it?

Do you honestly think the soviets forgot to install good optics on the T-64A? It's a tank that's nearly 15 years old by the events of the game (compared to the abramses 5), those optics were high-tech in the early 70s, not to mention that the game will feature the T-80B and that things FCS is equal to the M1A2 feature set wise and can fire missiles

easy? yes. usable? no, especially with bad eyesight or a non 4k display.

(also, the radio symbol means tac-map updated)
