So even tho it's amazing for 15 hours, after them you more or less saw and did everything and are now waiting for the devs to add more vehicles scenarios etc... (wich they have been doing steadily since release)
First of all (and Echoing what the others have said) - the game is barely 2/5s into its expected road map of features. They sill need to add West Germany, Infantry, more environmental effects, and potentially some other equipment, along with revising the scenarios present. Many players log on the first week of the month to experiment with the new changes, then wait until the next update.
The second is that GHPC is a single player "Sim-Lite" sort of game. You don't need to learn the actual switchology of the vehicles like in a training unit. But you do need to adapt to the different sights on each vehicle and the quirks of historical range finders. There is no need to grind and unlock every unit, but the missions are fairly short.
What exactly have they done in the last calendar year to show progress toward their end goal?
I've spent long enough in PC gaming to know you should never believe it until you see it. What makes this game any different?
Several new Russian vehicles, (T-62,T-64, T-80) with Russian voice-overs and new optics,
Revised Artillery/Air-support/Helicopters
Smoke screens and grenades
Revised munitions to match the 1985 time frame
Come to think of it, the devs have been pretty good at making a few changes at least once a month and bug fixes, rather than making a big update every six or seven.
If you still want to be skeptical, than I congratulate you on your principles. I've been having fun with the game and capturing my nostalgia for playing M1 Tank platoon in 1991.
The majority of negative reviews tend to actually have more hours in game.
It's a weird trend that I figured needed a little prodding.
