Checked multiple times, no luck
2. What exactly do you mean sound is dead? Before you give me more details, try these: exit and re-enter the game, and try pushing the sound sliders around
Exactly as I mean it, sound does not work, not even when using sound slides, mute/unmute, restart game and check if right sound device is selected.
This worked for me as well. Pause the game, go into settings. Go out of the settings and un-pause.
Check windows audio while playing. I usually just click the audio slider in windows and it'll make an audible sound. Try this with the game open.
I will give it a go tonight
Nope still doesn’t work for me .
Is there an audio setting in game menu that may have been overlooked?
Tried that multiple times, even with the previous patch. Doesn’t work
So if a game is already taxing your system, then sound breakup/ stutter or complete loss will be an obvious sign.
Go into your windows sound control panel and try lowering the sample rate.
Here’s an idea what I’m talking about (on tablet)

Failing that try reducing the game settings down to potato just to establish the issue
No offense but I have a high end system an I doubt the game is taxing for my machine. That being said literally every single game (including DSC that normally demands a lot) I don’t have a single problem with Let alone an sound problem. I tried about everything and every suggestion but sound just won’t come back
Taxing sound isn’t the same as playing a game. The CPU drives the RealTek chipset. That’s how it works. Unless you have a dedicated sound card.
Games can play perfectly fine.
I’ve had 34 yrs of experience working on systems and building them.
It’s a suggestion to try, obviously I can’t see your machine nor your specs nor your build ; bought or custom built by yourself.
If you don’t follow it then that’s up to you.
I’m a problem solver all my days. I see things as a challenge.
It could be something simple as a window update that’s written over the sound driver, or the game has cuffed it due to the new overheads.
Anyway, that’s all I’ll say on the matter. Some people jump in and follow advice others do what they want.
Oh and before I go, this is unoptimised and EA. Remember that
