Gunner, HEAT, PC!

No sound has made this game unplayable for me.
Since some update fairy long ago my sound in the game is completly mute, i tried messing with the in-game volume sliders, see if my sound drivers are updated, checked if the proper sound device is active, checked if i have sound for youtube for example while in game. Checked mute on and off, tried reinstalling the game several times, did integrity check in Steam to see if that was the problem, but for the love of god i cannot get this game to produce any sound as all no matter what i do. Its really weird because all other games and programmes dont have a single problem. This unfortunatly has made this game completely unplayable for quite some time now, and it doesnt seem like there will be any fix for it soon either... Im at a loss, what gives?

On the outside chance that this is some kind of data corruption in the game's settings and not an issue on your PC: you can try opening Windows Registry Editor (search "regedit" in the Windows start menu) and navigating to this path:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Radian Simulations LLC\GHPC

Once there, browse the list of values and delete any that begin with "AUDIO" or "volume".

Next, ensure that your Windows volume is turned up enough to hear and that you can hear the test ping when clicking the volume slider.

Finally, start the game and check the sound.

1. Update will come soon... whatever that means... hopefully in a next few days... cmon devs, you said soon... you really should have sticked with your "Not saying when" rule...
2. What exactly do you mean sound is dead? Before you give me more details, try these: exit and re-enter the game, and try pushing the sound sliders around

Exactly as I mean it, sound does not work, not even when using sound slides, mute/unmute, restart game and check if right sound device is selected.

This worked for me as well. Pause the game, go into settings. Go out of the settings and un-pause.
Check windows audio while playing. I usually just click the audio slider in windows and it'll make an audible sound. Try this with the game open.

Are you switching between earbuds/headphones and regular speakers by chance? When I do, sometimes Windows doesn't automatically switch back. I have to click on volume in windows task bar and click on the settings.

Is there an audio setting in game menu that may have been overlooked?

Tried that multiple times, even with the previous patch. Doesn’t work

Losing sound is generally a system hog issue. The CPU tends to be the engine that drives the RealTek onboard - unless you have a dedicated sound card, which most don’t anymore.

So if a game is already taxing your system, then sound breakup/ stutter or complete loss will be an obvious sign.

Go into your windows sound control panel and try lowering the sample rate.

Here’s an idea what I’m talking about (on tablet)

https://www.elevenforum.com/t/windows-11-sound-settings.2311/

Failing that try reducing the game settings down to potato just to establish the issue

No offense but I have a high end system an I doubt the game is taxing for my machine. That being said literally every single game (including DSC that normally demands a lot) I don’t have a single problem with Let alone an sound problem. I tried about everything and every suggestion but sound just won’t come back

As I said. You missed the meaning.
Taxing sound isn’t the same as playing a game. The CPU drives the RealTek chipset. That’s how it works. Unless you have a dedicated sound card.
Games can play perfectly fine.

I’ve had 34 yrs of experience working on systems and building them.
It’s a suggestion to try, obviously I can’t see your machine nor your specs nor your build ; bought or custom built by yourself.
If you don’t follow it then that’s up to you.
I’m a problem solver all my days. I see things as a challenge.
It could be something simple as a window update that’s written over the sound driver, or the game has cuffed it due to the new overheads.

Anyway, that’s all I’ll say on the matter. Some people jump in and follow advice others do what they want.

Oh and before I go, this is unoptimised and EA. Remember that
