Platoon movement 'permanent' halt
Is there any way to switch to another platoon & commanding that entire platoon to stay in place even when I switch back to my original platoon? Think of it as a 'permanent' halt until I decide otherwise.

AI has improved a lot, but platoons that I'm not controlling in the moment mostly do their own thing. Sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better & I'd like the other platoons to do as I say.

Pretty sure it's not possible at the moment, but I'd like to have that option one day.

Love this game.

Hi, yes, if you press Q>platoon> halt they should stay put until ordered back to follow.
You can rinse and repeat for all platoon (tab>select the leader).
Useful in those frontal assault when thry would be dead in the time it takes for you to figure out the tactical situation.
Last friendly advice, in some mission yoy have to advance a little before all platoons becomeselectable.

Oh, and when ordered back to follow you can switch back to your favoutite platoon and the ptevious one will revert to "do their thing" for example APCs will assault their objective but this time AFTER tanks have softened the opposition

I think you didn't fully understand the question or I phrased it incorrectly. I know I can halt the other vehicles in my current platoon & continue solo as platoon leader.

But when I halt for example: 1st platoon & switch to 2nd platoon, the 1st platoon I just halted does its own thing again. Probably because AI takes over instead of me, since I'm now playing as another platoon.

Unless I'm mistaken. I could also just be stupid :p

The other platoons won't go if you switch away from them, only if you switch back to them, and order them to "follow". I always stop every platoon at the start of the mission and use the vehicles one by one. Of course if a platoon appears mid-mission, they will be on their way by default, and you have to stop them if necessary.

I guess I had it wrong then. I will test this next time I'm playing. Thanks a lot!
