How is this thing supposed to work on Patton tank? Tip keeps saying to me use Dpad to adjust range - i have no clue why, i will never use joypad for this, and im reluctant to even use HOTAS. So, is there some way to make this game to give me realistic tips instead of focusing on console crap i hate?

You might have a controller/stick plugged in or something weird going on. The default controls to use and actions to perform are:
- press E to use coincidence rangefinder
- use pg up/pg down or ctrl + scroll wheel to adjust the sight picture until you stop seeing two targets
- press E to stop having double image all around you (optional)
- compensate for lead manually
- fire

After a while I simply learned to eyeball the distance using the reticle itself :)
And yes i have pedals and HOTAS plugged in, and it drives me up the wall when some games think i would like to use that instead of keyboard and mouse to play. And then on top they dont offer me option to disable controler input at all.

But at least problem is resolved in this sim, for now.
