They put the 1995 model MRE boxes on vehicles in 1985. People noticed. They obviously don't plan too fix this, so instead they put silly juvenile messages on all the MRE boxes as a joke.

It is kinda funny ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes, and it is

Who cares dude. It's an MRE box. You're fighting against tanks who gives a ♥♥♥♥ about the MREs on the back of a tank

LoL, someone is salty.

Hell, saw the end of the Cold War and retired in 2016. Made zero difference to me, just thought the developer added a nice touch. Do we really care it's the newer MRE style box, as stated before, circa 1995? Next we'll be checking the exhaust sample bags and chem light batteries for proper details......

@the devs, good job in my opinion. No rivet counting necessary from my cupola.

The old MRE boxes. The ones we had in Fulda Gap and Desert Storm where exact same shape and size as a five gallon watercan. They changed size shape of box after they added the MRE heaters too each meal.

It's what they wrote on the box is the stupid part...

To quote the other messages on MRE boxes "Leave the house, go outside please" killjoy.

Imagine that you bother scanning actual vehicles to get them true to life, model them while making sure they stay as optimised as possible on the GPU side sidenote before you start complaining about optimisation, GPU optimisation is pretty much done, the optimisation for what is happening CPU side happens in increments as new systems are plugged in and activated, there is no point in diverting man hours making optimisations that might be lost when they add other major pieces of the game, doing the research for the vehicles FCS, implement it more than accurately and someone only cares that the MRE boxes are not the right dimension.

It's been in the game since at least the pre-alpha version of 2021 due to a player flipping out when he measured the dimensions and saw that they were not right and instead decided to keep on rudely pestering the team when they had other more pressing issues. From having worked customer service I can only nod while smiling when seeing the MRE boxes.

Dude you clearly have a grudge against the devs, just drop it

I saw that thread where you were arguing with Josh over whether a tank is to engage helicopters with its main gun. You're clearly salty over that. And btw, those historical sources are actually in the right. A .50 cal has what, a maximum range of something like 1.5 - 2km? Helicopters can engage at ranges much further than that which kind of necessitates the use of hyper-velocity extended range ammunition... like APFSDS.

Uh-huh, how about you try refuting my logic? Or do you think the world revolves around you, you absolute narcissist?
