Gunner, HEAT, PC!

BRDM can pen anything.
So i used BRDM extensively to save my missions by pulling up and shooting specific spots. It's especcialy easy to kill M1 with side underneath turret (just above the skirt, sometimes skirt is pend too) being reletively large spot. any other tank or vehicle is killable by brdm too. The hardest was M60 with specific spot in manlet. Just shoot tanks with BRDM and you will find those spots.

Its also remarkably hard to kill IMO. HE rounds from the Bradley should tear it up and they don't. APFSDS fly straight through with minimal damage.

it's because bots usually shot the centre of any vehicle. and the centre is empty. I survived 9 shots from HEAT to the BMP-1 this way. just paralel the enemy.

I find that too... I've seen 7.62mm penetrate a BRDM-2 and 25mm will definitely shred one to bits. I hate wasting main gun rounds from the M1/M60 on them but until the .50cal is online what can you do...lol?

I was wondering if the damage models are working as intended or still placeholders especially with the BRDM and the M113. The only way it seems to get a kill on them is to kill the crew with a direct hit or hit the ammo. Thus they can survive greater punishment than their up armored siblings. Even hitting a BRDM with the Bradley's 25mm APFSDS in the engine, I have seen them continue to drive away as if nothing happened if it is AI controlled. It got me thinking that maybe there is a lot of placeholder elements of the damage modelling are not in full effect yet, especially AI units.

I am thinking the same. I would imagine 105mm APFSDS would probably sail right through one, if it didn't hit something solid like the engine, but the likely hood of the vehicle carrying on would probably be pretty low!
