Does Art/Inspiration ever get more streamlined?
I've sold 1000 art, excruciatingly, with the hope that I could at some point mass-produce Inspiration or Art. But no, 5 inspiration at a time with Pixa or going up to the roof again. and again. and again. And with Pixa being multiple animations and dialogue boxes at a time, it's honestly enough for me to want to drop the game. I hate making Art. I hate it.

Does it EVER gets less awful? Is there another tier of upgrade coming, like how assorted fruit was fixed from being a warcrime-level worth of enjoyment to something streamlined?

There are a lot of ways to streamline your art production. It sounds like you chose the ruthless option at the 100 sold quest which set things to 5 each time. That makes this mid stage a bit more of a slog because the cap is so low, but as a reward you do unlock a way to passively generate art at the 1000 quest.

Things go differently with the generous quest path, it's easier to make more yourself but you don't end up unlocking the passive generator.

Have you gone to The Capital yet? Once there you can start collecting Economic Incentive Tokens from sales in your shop, which can be exchanged for Inspiration directly (Inspiration is the item you use to make Art at the easel).

There's also an accessory that the Artist can equip to increase Art generation. The generous path leads you to the area it's in, but on the ruthless path you need to find it yourself. It's in an area north of the Woodway (the dark forest area just before Tutetown).

You can also set up your customer upgrades to prioritise needing less Art.
