Played Entirety of a Tuesday and didn't get achievement

Started game on 11:55 Monday night. Had a clicker on to click every minute to keep computer awake.
Ended game 12:20 Wednesday morning. No achievement??
Did anyone else have trouble with this?

Yeah, I know these achievements are supposed to be absurd, but this is pretty annoying. Especially considering that I just got the Commitment achievement in the original Stanley Parable last week. I just did the same thing again (started a few minutes before midnight and ended a few minutes ago), and I expected it to work again the same way but nope.

I was able to get "Commitment" quite easily in the original Stanley Parable (that blinking little green indicator on Stanley's workstation monitor keeping me company while I worked myself), but my 24-hour idling in-game method didn't seem to work.

I hadn't seen any concerns about the achievement not popping for others when I checked guides and the like. Maybe I'll have to try for this when I randomly remember about "Super Go Outside" in more than a decade
Having to artificially inflate the game-played hours, while having no clue as to what will actually result in legitimately unlocking the achievement is definitely frustrating. Has anyone here been able to get it legit or can better clarify when I should be trying again?

Hmm

I realized that I didn't have it for the 2013 version, so I thought that it would be poetic in some way if I got them at the same time. I launched them both and stared out from Stanley's office And I freakin' babysat them all day (accidentally closing Stanley's door in TSP 2013 multiple times because the interact distance easily extended from back against his desk out to his door), making sure my PC never slept or auto-closed them due to a memory bug or something. Neither one got the achievement.

But other than playing Monaco with a buddy for a couple hours shortly after noon EST, chatting with him on Discord, or pausing to change both TSPs to windowed mode so I could more easily prevent them from screwing with my controller inputs for Monaco... Nothing really happened that would've disrupted the achievement. They never closed or went back to the main menu, nor did my PC lose connection or anything. from like 9:50 p.m. on Monday to 3:40 a.m. on Wednesday. I'm committed, Crowsx3! Could I get a pity unlock?!

Just checked and I'm glad I got mine, I set It up a few hours early and ended up leaving it open for about 30 hours but It sucks that it's not working for everyone :/

same happened here opened the game 10:50-ish pm on a monday ended it at roughly 2:00 am on wednesday, still not got the achievement no clue how to fix it

nvm it just took me restarting steam and opening The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe a couple times
