I personally think it's a good thing you have avoided doing Steam achievements so far because it might detract from the gritty hardcore atmosphere you have created here.

When the achievements come they will all tie in to the theme and setting. I'll probably go full Dutch names :)
Especially when they are designed well and fit the overall theme and setting of their corresponding game, achievements become something like little pieces of art people love to collect and display. I mean, just look at the ones from Kingdom Come Deliverance, Ghost of Tsushima, Diablo 4, or Mortal Shell - all pretty grim and hardcore, and the designs of their achievements fit well into the overall concept of the games.
Played hours on your profile alone are dull, boring and passionless. Achievements really put the icing on the cake!
