How to get large egg/milk?

So i have lvl10 friendship with my cows and chicken however they are not producing M or L products sizes. Is it also the same on RF4 that you will need them to level50 to get M and level100 L?

Hello, i have 1cow and 1chicken as well and both are producing Egg(M) and Milk(M) for me and they are nowhere near friendship lvl 10 and not even close to lvl 50. I never played any previous games so can't really confirm it other then what i have now.

I think it was tied to their exp level.

friendship is item lv itsekf, for the size is base lv. For large milk it is lv 100.

Yep level is what matters on the plus side your monsters will still gain some exp even while in your barn so you won't need to take every single one out to level them individually, of course if you do take them out they will gain exp faster.
