RF5 Same-sex romance is literally annoying and problematic

You get the right idea what i am going to talk about. I am very much aware of bi people existance. But let's be clear, here and now. There's no way in hell that there are literally THAT many bi people around the whole world in reality. And the game feels more unrealistic, while having this much bi people in this game, who would simply agree marrying regardless of gender?

First: as i said, it's unrealistic. Just cuz you're building relationship with such person, it doesn't means you want to marry specifically this one. But for some unknown reason, characters becoming more hinting on romantic interest in you. Literally saying hints to my face. And i find it foolish.

Second: Every NPCs should have at best having their own preferences. Like, 2 straight NPCs, 2 bi NPCs, and so on. The reason why lately games with romance mechanics became having only with bi characters in their games, remains unknown to me. This part is getting out of hands. Remember when was the last game that had such strict mechanics? RF4 for example. Or Dragon Age Origins / Inquisition.

And the third: i believe such games def should have mods, which making NPCs more demanding, than being unnatural. Such limits will at least giving them more personality, and at best, less annoying.

Also, those who will say that i should not marrying them, or ignoring them, cuz it was meant this way by devs, is pathetic thing to say. If characters having their personal performances, it's not making them less interesting. On the contrary, it will only making them more likable, or more dislikable. Having just all bi characters, making any games more repulsive.

It's simple, all of those options, and the old standard of making everyone straight, require more effort than making everyone bi. This game in particular clearly has other issues caused by a lack of time to polish it, so... (Explaining is not condoning).

It is. If they would work with it, it will only prove, that time they invested, and details they would put, would be more noticing. But surely, if not investing additional time for it, it would take less time development. Maybe even higher ups are making some sort of deadline... Well, it's not in my place to say how they should work, since i am not working there. But i am a one of a many ppl, with their preferences. Also, devs can satisfy only one side of the community, none was able to satisfy all. Except rare cases.

listen, while i think they should have made both romance and friendship routes for all the characters and let the player decide which route to go down, the fact is they were already cutting out romance routes in characters like livia (give me my dragon waifu pls i wanted it in 4 and now 5 almost had it), so they clearly didn't have time to properly make a friend/romance option, and went with the bi option because that'd bring the most fans. considering livia's romance content was datamined out (no one has been crazy enough to mod it in yet though), you can probably datamine the friendship routes out (if they all exist, pretty sure at least some did) and mod it in yourself if you're that annoyed by the bisexual romance characters.

There are different type of fans. Just include me for example. I may love Rune Factory series, but i am on the side of traditional family values. After Rune Factory 5, and Story Of Season, or new Harvest Moon... Let's just say, i see this issue diffrentley.

I won't lie about my annoyance. But if i was a modder, i would've done that long ago. And by releasing mod on Nexus, devs of that site would delete my post with fatal warning. I mean, they did tried that many times with many people.

Hmm... It was a long time ago, when devs was never afraid of announcing their fails or successes in sales. When devs got the right not to announce the sales, some crazy things started to happens. For instance, recent game of Assassins Creed Mirage. They didn't announce sales, but announced how many cats were pet... Yeah... Very informing of Ubisoft...

I think you missed my point entirely. They're not patching this game, at all, ever. They added chinese, and that was that.
The major point though, is, this game, Rune factory 5, was supposed to be straight, it was straight all the way through development, then the woke mob got to them, and they quickly patched in the ability to romance all romance options with one character... was probably as easy as removing a look for which sex you picked, since the dialogue options still refer to you as the gender they initially went for... sometimes.
Thus, with them never patching the game, the time for outcry was when they were contemplating that change.
I am in no way saying don't complain, just saying, it's a little late. Make yourself known for Rune Factory 6, if you want any input at this stage of this game series.

I'm not expecting the devs patching it. That'll already would be extremely impossible for them to do so. Since they already did what they were after, i am afraid we both know, they won't go that far from their decision sadly.

If i am not going to pinpoiint it now, then who will? Maybe devs read it, and will do something? I am doubt it, but i am at least tried. Was it worth at least? Maybe. Remember, it's happens that i am created this topic, and made a discussion. Worth it, or not, i cannot say. But i made a complain, and whatever i find people who's agree with me, or disagree, i knew the consequences. However, i am afraid for Rune Factory 6, and so on. They will continue making all characters into bi. That will one way or the other, not stop them. So i am personally feeling no charm in it. Will they make if not all characters bi, or not straight, but at least make a little here and there? Like Dragon Age Origin / Inquisition type romance? I don't know. All i know, i just did start a discussion, and made a personal complain. The rest, is the consequances i face. And yes, it could be more realistic, but Livia is a 500+ year old dragon looking like a loli and Lukas is literally a god, so I don't really get, how you can ignore a lot of anime nonsense, but start crying when the WoKe AgEnDa is intruding on your escapist fantasy. Yes, it could be more realistic - I will not deny that - but - and I'm sorry for saying that - as a gay dude, it feels very annoying when peple will IMMEDIATELY start complaining about RF5 heading into this direction. I will remind you that literally every other RF game (and that's 6 in total if I remember correctly) don't have any same sex marriage. RF5 wasn't supposed to have any either and was a last minute tweak for the western release. Can you imagine how happy I was for this series to finally step into that direction? But now you are telling me, that you somehow are not able to enjoy those kind of games how you used to, because the SLIGHT notion of your character having the gays for someone disgusts you. I'm sorry but kindly **** off. I played RF4 and was not able to marry Doug and had to enforce a fictitious marriage with Amber. I would lie to myself if any of the attractions that my character ever showed to her were genuine, but I still was able to enjoy the game for what it was, because the game was entertaining. And now I'm playing this game and still can't marry him
I guess what I'm trying to say is. If a game is really good - and you aren't a bigot - it probably shouldn't matter if there are options like that. A direction like Dragon Age or Fire Emblem would be cool, I wouldn't be opposed to that, except if they give me crap choices like in Three Houses again. I will riot. I am simply speaking of what i feel, and what i think it would make most sense. What would a free opinion can be, if i won't dare to speak about it? Listen here, and listen well. Finding games like i described, are pure treasure. But that's not what i want to talk about, What i am speaking, is but personal opinion. I wrote it, cuz i simply want choices to be hard, and not simple. I want to feel those restriction. Like a person you like, can't be with you, cuz she's simply already married, or she's just ♥♥♥♥♥. Those restrictions is what makes this person alive. What making this person be this way? What background behinds it? Making this person free for anyone, means - Missing personality. And it would makes most sense, only if 1 or 2 persons would like both genders. But making everyone's a bi, there is simply no sense, or reason, or logic. It's just happens, there is no logic at all. You like everyone be as free choices, but that's your choice. You don't understand the meaning behind it. Like Doug for exampe you speak of. Sure, all males are straight in RF4, and it can be easily removed with mods on Nexus. But i am simply liked this way. For example, i liked Lin Fa, and she has a daughter, that is romancable. Believe it or not, she had alot of charm, and i liked how she's very attractive with both personality, and how beautiful she is. But she is already married, and i know that would be pointless for trying. But that's only proves she's simply loyal to her husband, which is why, their daughter is a prove of their relationship. That's the reason, why i liked those restrictions. Person you like, but you can't get for understanding reasons. Whatever married ot not, that's just the example, That's the reason, for them being this way, is what i want to understand. But when everyone is free for anyone... There is no logic, it's only a chaos in their backstory. They're just like a dolls, a golems from flesh and blood. They could make more interesting. I am agree. People's mind isn't something so simple, and it is a complicated matter. The psycholoy tought me much about that all minds doesn't share same mindset, everyone has their own things they can agree, or disagree. Unfortunatley, even for me, there isn't an ideal way, to make any situations more peaceful, if something goes out of hands.

i don't like it in rune factory 5 only because it clearly wasn't planned. Every character being bi though in these sort of games isnt anything new since the switch era games. And to be fair even in older entries like RF4 npcs of the same sex would hint at romantic interest usually played for comical effect but it was always there rf5 was nothing new. My personal issue with these sort of cozy farming games lately is the characters identity feels less important. No rival scenes for the same sex, no characters with varying dialouge depending on your gender no dynamic dialouge ever really present at all nowadays and just getting rid of pregnancy and all the cute scenes that came with it. (coral island why?? Also coral island why make the farmer just a bystander in HEART events its so underwhelming) Rune factory is like the only series to be consistent with these (except rivals) nowadays. Story of seasons did it once in trio of towns idk why they dont again.
