2. Farming can definitely seem overwhelming when you're just a beginner. It might be best to learn through the game tutorial and then look up any stats you don't understand after that. I think the help board next to the farm also explains some of the soil stats.
3. Taming is usually pretty easy for normal monsters. You can give them items they prefer and brush them to increase your odds but even without all that it isn't too hard. I tamed all my normal monsters with whatever grass I had on hand at the time. It's harder when you try to tame multiple of the same monster or the monster is higher level than you. Boss monsters on the other hand are much harder. They require specific items and the % chance of success is much lower (I can't remember what the cap is). When I wanted to tame a boss monster, I'd save just before and keep reloading until I succeeded.
4. Take your time learning everything. Trying to learn everything at once will just intimidate you. It's okay if you make a mistake. I learned so much through all the mistakes I made. And don't be afraid to ask about things you don't understand. I really hope you try RF. It's so much fun.
1) The game can feel a bit large to some people - but you can fast travel to a LOT of places all over the world, and it gets fairly easy to do so (Not too long after finding an area, there will be a spot to travel somewhere near there, if not in it)
2) Farming is not complicated in my opinion, it is just time consuming. If you want to plant and till every field you have personally (You can eventually get helpers to do so, but doing it yourself buffs stats, some even unrelated to farming) you will take your entire in-game day to do so, and do nothing else. Even more-so if you need to clear the field at all.
--Watering literally consists of going and filling a watering can, and pouring it on plants, if it is not raining that day in that area. You can do things to manipulate this, or have helpers do this if you do not want to.
--You have to "Til" the fields before planting seeds, and then plant, and eventually harvest them. In previous games you could have helpers do this once they liked you enough -- quite honestly I never got them to a high enough point in this to try doing so
--The final two parts consist of leveling plants, and giant crops (They kind of go hand in hand) -- For this, you need good soil quality -- so either using nutrients, not growing the same crop in the same spots, or using the composting bin. Then when they are fully grown cut them down with a scythe. If done right, the seed level will go up. Sell that (Or replant it, selling lets the store sell that level seed for the same price, and higher level crops will now be gathered, which sell for more $) -- And giant crops are the same, but 4 need to be planted next to each other, a medicine used on them, and then they take longer to grow.
3) Taming can be a bit RNG, and from my experience, if you have one of a monster, it can seem harder to get the same one again (It's not too bad, usually just a few brushes and items more) -- the frustrating part can be boss monsters. They usually want specific items, which sometimes are a drop from themselves. I'd advise saving before attempting these.
4) Rune Factory is usually something to be taken in slowly, so don't rush it. If you feel like something is getting hard, go back, and level up somewhere else, or look at your gear, it can almost always be improved somehow. You can always take friends from town and level them up too -- to make things easier as well, as well as pets.
This is supposed to be a relaxing game, so take the time to go around, see the characters you like, find out what parts of the game suits you (There is a lot to do in the games, I think I put darn near 10x the time into RF4 than in 5 too)
And remember, literally everything you do will raise some stats somehow -- Watering those plants? Can raise water magic, and some other stats. There's a level for running, sleeping, both of those raise maximum health iirc. Everything is linked to an extent, so leveling everything will have at least some benefit
Tl:DR - Can be a fun game, as long as you have the time and energy to devote to it
Yea i think i will try it, thank you!
1. No the world tough openworld is empty & more linear than it seems, gathering materials is pretty easy, lots of teleportation to dungeon to get you close to what you need except for the Lake zone.
2. Brain dead easy, you can use monster to farm themselves on the dragons farm & farm yourself at the SILO.
3. Not really, it's level related, so unless you make the difficulty higher you might just need to brush once then give the item.
4. Ask someone for a finished save, just keep it in the save folder before you start playing so you can improve the level of enemies otherwise you're gonna get tired real quick.. Get mods: texture, improved difficulty, furniture placement fix.
