Thank you for joining us in Rigbarth for the launch of Rune Factory 5, ranger!

I wanted to make a central bug thread so you all know what we're working on and what information we need when you email us about any game bugs you encounter. I'll be trying to scour the threads for new issues, but if a bug is not up here already please post it in this thread so it'll be easy for me to find. We'd like to keep this thread focused on addressing gameplay issues, so for any questions or comments on other topics, please email [e-mail].

Useful debug information:

• DxDiag output
  
• Steps to reproduce the issue
  
• Screenshot of in-game settings and/or launcher settings
  
• Crash dump files
  Often located here %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps
  It would be from "Rune Factory 5.exe"

Please email [e-mail] with these details if you are experiencing issues with the game.

Here are some tips to make sure you're getting the best performance out of your PC!

• Make sure your graphics card is being fully utilized:
  
  • Stay updated with relevant drivers from your card manufacturer's website
    
  • Make sure you are using your main graphics card. Different graphics card manufacturers will have guides on how to always use your dedicated card.
• Add Rune Factory 5 to the exceptions of any antivirus program:
  
  • "Rune Factory 5.exe" is the executable file you need to add.
• Turn off any power saving mode your computer might be using:
  
  • Go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options
    
  • Balanced or High Performance profiles should be chosen. Any Power Saving mode will lower game performance.
    
  • If you are using a laptop, make sure it has sufficient charge or it may automatically go into a power saving mode.
• Make sure your PC has the latest Windows Update installed.

Boss at Audea (The Fathomless Dread) keeps getting softlocked, I repeat the fight to farm because it drops important endgame ingredients but the boss keeps getting softlocked and have to restart the fight until I can get a fight that he does move and goes to the next phase, he somehow starts standing still sometimes and dosent change to phase 2.

When holding an item late at night, the yawning animation that plays at 1AM occurred while I was putting away the item. This left me holding nothing and checking my inventory showed that the item had duplicated(!) which would be interesting if it didn't keep me stuck like this.

Stowing away the item was impossible because it wasn't there anymore. I couldn't teleport anywhere, walking out of the area did not fix the issue and I could not pick other items off the ground or equip anything. I ended up having to reload my save because I couldn't go to bed. See screenshot -> files(.)catbox(.)moe/pyc20z.jpg

This is a lower priority bug, but the audio cuts out for a second when you start riding on a monster. (At least with the Nine-tailed Fox it's happened consistently, I don't know if it's a general issue or not)

That's odd my xbox controller seems to work. Though some times the left directional button acts up. I had thought it was something defective about my controller...

Did you try to calibrate it? Sometimes that helps when you recalibrate controller. Left stick works for me better than D-Pad.

I'm not sure how to do that. I kinda took it apart and put it back together and haven't had another problem... that's probably not the best answer to give some one though....

nope,it's totally not able to use on it.no matter what button i press and it just not work.

Usually when controller doesn't work on PC as it should recalibrating fixes it. If you want to recalibrate your controller go to Settings->Devices->Devices and printers->right click your controller->Game controller settings->Properties->Calibrate. Then follow instructions. If that doesn't help try to go Steam settings->Controller->General controller settings. You should see under "Detected Controllers" your controller. If it's not there then you need to calibrating it in Steam too. If it's there then simply uncheck all boxes except your controller which should be "Xbox Configuration Support".

Every time I turn in my third wanted monster of tier 1 my game freezes on the rank up screen. I can't turn in the quest without it freezing up.. I have tried checking game integrity I have changed from windowed to full screen and I have tried changing graphics from high to low and back again and nothing lets me get past that screen. I also completed a different quest and then tried and still it freezes up. so I can go forth with my game.

When I go to refight the final boss (for grinding purposes), it stands still as soon as it spawns and I can't damage it past the first phase because of it. Really confused? It worked once I left the area fully instead of teleporting back to the final boss area to respawn it.
