As for the crystal flowers, yes absolutely grow them. You'll later get a quest to harvest them which will make them then available in the flower shop. Regular crystal flowers and giant crystal flowers are used in high level chemistry recipes so you definitely want them. Also high level giant crystal flowers will usually win you the harvest festivals.
Do you know what buddy smithing does besides turn the crafted item's name blue?
One to sell, one to cook. Two turned into seasonal headdresses. Combine the 4 headdresses into Four Seasons Headress and sell that one too.
Blue name means that an item has inherited another. That's exactly what buddy smithing does by the look of it: The items you craft get a random effect inherited. Nice early on I imagine but not something you'll want to do for late game gear.
yep tossing a rando crop for X season will make that faerie say it wants X crop
What it really does is depending on who is crafting with you will place added stat bonus to that weapon who adds what is what we havent figured out yet since its hard to get it to work as save scumming also randomizes the villager crafting with you and or have none at all
This is just my brief experience but Reinhard adds STR stat my tripple brilliant scale long sword has a base str stat of 900 just became 1148 upon finish crafting
