Ten-fold steel is a great one. Combine it with your favorite upgrade item.
Another one I like is the melody bottle. Unfortunately since the drinking object x trick doesn't work in RF5, this is the best way to level your status resist skills.
As that's a lot of text, I'd simply point out that Dragon Scales (any kind of scale as long as it comes from a dragon) when used to craft or upgrade a shield allow it to work with two-handed and dual-wielded weapons.
shade stone reduces enemy resistance by 50%, melody bottle gives your attacks most if not all status effects
- Healing spells
- Support skills
- Farming tools charged attack
- Spell Seal
Except if you're planning to spam offensive spells it's probably not worth being inherited. I don't know if the Proof of Wisdom (constant RP regen) is good but it can't really be worse.
due to how many int scaling items have piss poor stats to make a valid mage build you will be forced to slap a magic charm to most of your mages in the party (Pricilla, Margaret, Ludmilla, 1 of your 3 children will be a mage)
Rare Can and 4 leaf clover to odd out the odds for rare stuff stacks with happy bangle
for family members Dolphin Brooch is always a must (stat accessories doesnt really matter but courage badge is a good start)
for Def while not really needed you can use Golden Scales for the Vit Stat
Melody Bottle, Mealy Apple and Object X will more or less be the meta so fit it into your weapons and armor amongst party members
Villagers will be a bit harder to build but most likely shoes will have to be fairy boots + 3 scales or 2 scales + sneaking shoes they also dont have an RP pool so Proof of Wisdom will be somewhat useless to them
