Just saying, your type seems to have an uncanny proclivity to be the ones with the most skeletons in their closet...
Like I said, her only upside is that puberty was inordinately kind to her.
(One of the few Pinky & the Brain references I can remember.
Eh, to be fair the things you say you don't like is what I find fun. Her dislike for socializing, disdain for work and being lazy are fun since she's so flawed compared to everyone else. It's fun considering everyone else in town is chirpy, upbeat and polite for the most part. (Solid reference btw)
Misasagi is definitely up there on the list but I never bother asking for it since I don't think the RF team can be bothered to code adopting Hina. No matter how lovely it'd be considering she keeps talking about the protagonist wanting to be their dad/mum.
I know that feeling with Misasagi.
Kinda reminds me of Manna in Harvest Moon 64.
In that game, she's not married to Duke. And she has a small boy (about 6). And she's not nearly as big of a motor mouth as she is in Mineral Town, more calmer and reserved.
In Winter of Year 1 (I think), she visits your farm from elsewhere, and asks if you can take care of 3 of her cows for a few days.
During those few days, she can be found at the tavern at night.
As far as I recall, no mention is ever made of her husband, and that her farm is having trouble (she couldn't care for these cows), implying she may be a widow. I kinda figured it sounds like her farm was large, but now she can't care for it, and is downsizing it (especially by selling those cows after a few days), which would make sense if she... inherited the farm, such as by losing her husband.
(...Admittedly, between that and her having a little boy, it would mean she'd be a recent widow)
Just saying, might have made for an interesting angle.
That said, this is a thread about mods, which the sky is the limit. There is always some unmarryable villagers in every RF game that I wish could be and that trend continues with RF5. A mod, or mods, allowing marrying them would be amazing. Would be good DLC, since feature development continued with the western release.
I mean, Beatrice, Fu-uka, Lucy, and Priscilla all look like they could be between 13-14 years old lol. Especially Fu-uka. You can add Cecil (one of the bachelors) to that list as well. Scarlett and Ludmilla are the only two bachlorettes who look like they could be 16-20.
Funny how with the guys you have a wider age range. Lucas and Murakumo look like they're in their 20s while Martin, Reinhard, and Ryker look like they could be between 14-18.
Seems like the devs buy into the whole "guys wanna date younger women and women wanna date older guys" deal. It would have been nice to get the same age variety, though.
Which is strange, as they have had older bachelorettes before.
Like Muffy in Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life, who's in her 30s (and laments not being able to get a husband and have children, believing she's going to die a spinster).
And yes, she's my favorite of the three.
Shame they didn't revisit that idea. Would have appreciated at least one older bachelorette in this game. Oh well. Maybe RF7 will have a better range of characters lol.
