I LOVED rune factory frontier until I started wondering why none of my crops could finish growing before the changing season killed them all. When I realized my runeys, which I had ignored for several years, were completely out of balance and almost died off from starvation, I lost all motivation to play instead of trying to fix that irritating system. I guess I could have just not farmed or something.
I don't know about a patch, but your vague comment did prompt me to find the old Gecko cheat codes. There's one which maxes runeys in all zones. Due to a bug(feature?), having all areas be prosperous removes all bonuses. So it's basically like the runey system doesn't exist. I'm fine with that.
Also, playing rune factory frontier makes me remember just how gorgeous its town is. So many little details which make the town feel like it's part of the countryside and forest rather than a square box like the later rune factory towns.
