End Game

I am getting pretty bored with the end game. I have conquered all regions, really have no one to fight and my villages are sustaining themselves. Just waiting on the long, drawn out part where my child grows up. All I really want to do is fast forward seasons to get to the end. Am I missing something in the end game to keep a person interested the game?
