stone mason and the chisel

no matter how many i put in my inventory, my character or the general storage, they disappear and the stone mason tells me he has none. He has 1 in the jug making but the chiseled stone ALWAYS shows no tool, even on restart of the game.

You may have other workers that need a chisel and so they take it from the general storage automatically. I generally make many tools and drop them into tools inventory. The workers that need them deplete the inventory and I have a few remaining. Then set my smithy to make a few per day.

If the stone jugs and chiseled stone are both on the same workstation, it is possible that the old 'multi-job' bug remains. I noticed today in my workshop that, if I had more than one job requiring a tool, only the first job would actually use the tool and all the rest would not, producing nothing. It didn't matter where I kept my tools as well (at the time, I also only had general storage).
One possible suggestion is to split the job into 2 workstations and keep only 1 job for each (stone jug at one, chiseled stone at the other). Yeah, it will require an extra worker but, at least for now, give it a try and see if it works. Drop a message back in here with the results.

this is absolutely still in, btw, every job needs its own tool. you can check it both at stoneworkers and at carpenter stations where every stone chiseling job and every pickaxing job needs its own independent chisel or pickaxe
