Japanese to english

When I first played this game, the characters spoke perfect english. Now it's in japanese. How do I change this back to english?

At the Main Menu, open Settings>Game Play, and check the Language setting (at the top of the screen). If it has reset to Japanese and you have trouble resetting it to English, try posting a request for help from a player who speaks Japanese.

everything is in english. I'm talking about the NPC's speaking verbally in japanese not the text

That could have been a place holder when the game was in the earliest stages. I started playing it around about 70% before they did lots of the updates this year and released to 1.0 and I think the voices were already in Japanese.

I don't know if you realised it but ... this game plays in feudal Japan.
