Boy or Girl, heir to my dynasty

i'm married and pregnant (in game lol) wanted to know what the baby is going to be, so slept thru till born, didnt say what was, then had me starting this line of quests, i dont want to waste my time going through this if the childs going to be a boy, i want to continue as a female when this char croaks, well if this game goes that far anyway. have played midieval dynasty. Anyone know for sure if can choose what the child is or does the game choose and if game chooses is it a boy? I am enjoying this game and want to continue to do so, thank you devs for what you have so far.

Playing as the heir is still not implemented.
Your kid goes off to the monastery to get an education but never comes back.
Or do they come back now but never grow up?
Since no one ages in this game, that isn't really an issue.
I am not sure why it is a dynasty game, though.
