The shovel removes a plant, sapling or small deposit permanently, removing it from the respawn list.
All respawn happens randomly each season. There is a limited number of respawns available each season so some things may take up to a year or more to return if you are especially destructive of the environment. This respawn rate is map-wide. If you wish for the fastest respawn, limit the number of resources you harvest.
A village must have it's Village Bell inside the region for that village to have access to the listed resource. No special projects currently exist that can harvest resources outside of a village bell radius.
so to confirm using a shovel on small tin/copper/clay makes it stop respawning?
so when it comes to clay, should i press E and dig up? or mouse button to use the shovel?
As for which tool to use, your only consideration is whether you want that resource node to respawn. All resource nodes behave exactly the same. Shovel removes permanently, all other tools do not. If you want the clay to return, use the pickaxe. If you want it gone, it doesn't matter if you use the mouse button or the "E" button. They both do the same action with the shovel.
also if i plant say a berry bush or a mushroom will they regrow every season(or at least their active season)
cuz i planted a wineberry bush and normal bushes even when you pick the unripe berries the bush is still there , but the one i planted disappeared, so are those decoration? or do they need time to "mature" before they become permanent?
and will the mushrooms just pop up every active season as long as i dont build over where i placed them?
