Am I the straw man?

I haven't found a minion task yet for creating straw. The herbalist hut does allow for collecting grass, but I haven't found a station yet that will craft that grass into straw. Thus far, it appears I'm the only source for generating straw in the (early) game.

I've only unlocked production up to the tailor, still no straw making automation I can find.

Have I overlooked a process/feature or is my time in the game meant to be making straw?

It is under Village Structures -> Drying Rack. It costs coins to unlock, I think it was 250 but I can't remember off the top of my head.

Was trying to find this myself lol.

Will let you turn 100 grass into 100 straw. Can set a villager to do it, but it works exactly like the water well, so I just made a couple of them and click on them in the mornings and pick up straw before bed.

yup. a must have early in game. was my first big purchase.

But how do I buy that?!?
I have +4k coins, but I can not buy anything in the menu.
I thought it was just a leftover they forgot to remove from before 1.0, but now it seems this is a bug?

Should I be able to open anything with coin?
I am at the point where I can melt iron, but I can not make straw automatically...

Am I doing something wrong?!?

I'll agree it's easy to skip reading, but a lot of information about progression in this game is lost within all the text of the game. They could do with some graphical attention getters to make some elements more noticeable for the TL;DR people.

Regions and Items require certain events to take place to unlock, and some of these items only require in-game credits to unlock. All I had to do for this item was to highlight it in the Build menu, the "F" key option (on PC) showed in the middle of the screen that if I held that letter it would allow me to purchase that item blueprint.

Since steam seems to have removed the ability to share screenshots with the implementation of screenrecording, or at least I can't find a way to share it other than using a 3:rd party tool.

Clicking it just makes the "error sound" in game (like if you try to build in an invalid location), no prompts of what I am doing "wrong".

Wait a minute... Are you saying I have to press "F" to buy it, using LMB wont work?
I have to try that..
If that is the case, PROMPT A BIG RED ERROR STATING: "you can not user your mouse buttons here, you have to press "F" to buy" or something similar.

For everything else I can use my mouse, why not here?!?

Sounds like you got it sorted, yah, I had to use the keyboard to purchase; maybe their safeguard to prevent accidental purchases? I did have to hold it down for the purchase, a quick click wouldn't provide that kind of safety net.

As for screenshots, I had a little trouble figuring that out too. Here's a thread where I found the new way to get those.

Well, that was the method I was trying to use too, the problem is they now open the "manage screenshots" window in a NEW window, therefore omitting the addres bar I previously used to copy/paste the direct url in posts. And there is no "copy url" any more... (and the only way to see my screenshots is to access a game I KNOW I have screenshots for and THEN go into screenshot manager, I can NOT use the "normal" way, that only shows how it is SUPPOSED to work with an image, not actually show what images I already have)

I am assuming they are working hard on this since screenrecording is something they really want to push out.
I would have appreciated if they kept these things in the steam beta client rather than pushing something unfinished like this to the stable client...
