How do you hire guards as of 8/4/2024? Other posts are outdated.
It's not obvious on how to do so, and if so, it's not descriptive enough or doesn't explain everything you need to know, and all posts i can possibly find about it are from 2023 and are no longer valid, leading to no up-to-date information about hiring guards.

How do you hire guards as of 8/4/2024?

Build a guard tower, locate Guard in your village job listing, assign a worker, and assign a weapon. It's very straightforward; one guard per guard tower. The guard tower is located under Service Buildings; the weapon assigned determines the number of security points provided. I think Masterwork Knife provides the most points.

Oh, so 1 guard per tower ok. The in-game info was misleading to me, making me think i could assign it to more than one or something of that nature.

Wait so that means that your village is just protected by a bunch of people knives right? lmao. It's just the prison yard at that point lol

The best weapon is still the Jumonji Yari, not a knife.

From what I'm seeing in my game, you get 375 security points in the guard tower with the Masterwork Knife as well as the Jumonji Yari.

Yes, and the Jumonji Yari has higher durability so it lasts longer. But, that's just for now. The new update probably changes it all... again. :lunar2019grinningpig:

Ok, thanks. That makes sense. Is there a way to tell the durability now, or is that something maybe planned for the future?

Dunno. The white bar is the only way I know of, so far. Unsure about the future.
