Needs
So, I started over because I hated the upkeeping with the needs... want to stay in low maintenance as long as I haven't explored the whole map.
Problem is I didn't pay attention at which new villager additional needs occur and in what order. Can someone please shed light on that for me?

thank you, I will pay attention this time.

*edit: maintenance came with the 8th villager, I got a 9th villager by accident but will keep it at that for now.

yeah, the numbers have been changing a LOT lately. It's been a bit crazy trying to keep up. My entire excel spreadsheet I made for Needs per pop was rendered obsolete with one hotfix. I was... displeased. :lunar2019madpig:
is this Per Village or overall?
Overall.

I agree ...
My number of villagers being 65 spread over 3 villages, Legend 18. Playing alone, I find the needs completely unrealistic and disproportionate. It's as if seasonal needs are multiplied by 4 instead of divided by 4. I don't enjoy playing anymore, it's unmanageable at the moment. Especially since there are no children or pregnant women yet. :steamfacepalm:

Needs have not been seasonal for a long time. Needs are now daily, as is production. You also need to make sure you're using the orange-level Needs consumption.
How are you only legend 18 at 65 villagers o_O I have fewer than half that and I'm at 14
I've played for about 60 hours and have completed the plot lines and most of the structures. It was fairly easy to manage needs up to about 6 or 7 people, after which I needed to constantly check whether villagers were out of tools. Trying to get a grip on tool production is proving difficult, particularly as my Herbs get used up rapidly. I tried creating a separate storage for keeping some of the produce back for next years planting, but found it tended to rot and needed to be converted into seed bags immediately, creating a long supply chain to be managed.

This is potentially a problem, as it is necessary to automate the current production, so that there is time to explore new challenges at higher levels.

Ha! I made a similar spreadsheet as well a few days ago.
Wonder how long mine will last. :P

Currently it seems to stand at:
Meals: (24+Population)×Population
Heating: (15+Population)×Population
Beverages: (22+Population)×Population
Maintenance: (6+Population)×Population
Health: (-3+Population)×Population
Security: (-8+Population)×Population
Spiritual: (-24+Population)×Population
Luxury: (-30+Population)×Population

Feel free to correct me if it turns out to be wrong.

Happiness doesn’t affect anything in the game yet.

... So have I been banging my head against the wall over how much the balance for Health sucks? Can I just let the village be miserable and ignore them?

You can but happiness will be re-implemented at some point and the effect it had before was extremely severe in terms of production value. The villagers will also leave if they're unhappy when it is re-implemented. It's best to use this time to learn how to keep them happy while you have little consequence so that when the consequences come, you'll already know how to avoid them.
Really WELL DONE for all the hard work and effort on the Needs - thank you. Really appreciated!!:steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy: Any thoughts about dates for the updates PLEASE - PLEASE PLEASE BRILLIANT!!
