Villager's needs
Its me o maybe the dialy villager's needs are maybe too much?

I mean, in the 0.3 beta, they consume dialy instead of seasonally. If you find yourself in high dinasty rank, villagers needs are quite high (specially in security or construction.

You think that maybe it needs to be lowered? It's okay for you? If it's okay, you yo managed in high ranked dinasty to keep happy every day your villagers?

Thanks and waiting for your answers :Dave_thumb2:

This is something that has to be done in the balance iterations.

I have a large village and it is difficult to keep all their needs happy. I assume they will be balancing the game more once bugs are worked out.

Also keep in mind that happiness no longer plays a part right now. There is no need to offer up green-level Needs to the people. Keep the sliders on orange-level. Makes things a lot more manageable.

There seems to be a massive requirement for food supplies and I only have 4 villagers and already the supply request for meals far exceeds the food for the season for four people?? Already behind by 300 meals on day 3??? Down by the boat there are two Haratio's that require houses for both?? Are these brothers, Cousins with the same name, I'm seeing double with the sake or a bug????

I managed to change the resource for the walls of the house, but although the keys appear to change the roof from makeshift to a more permanent feature, the keys don't work?? Why am I not able to undertake the task of building the bridges, watchtowers as I was able to do previously, which takes someone away from the tasks for the village??

Now able to build a workshop, brilliant detail with the fact that it has storage for wood, water, general storage and food. However what is the point of this as no-one can access any of the items as I now have to build the separate production buildings in order for villagers to access these necessary items??

Having said that the update is looking good and it seems that you have daily tasks which keeps it more interesting.

Thank you

The doubled NPC is a known bug.

Meals can be a bit tricky with 4 villagers, but with 5 or 6 you can set up with solid sustenance. Note, that happiness does not apply yet, so no need to do any settings there.

Thanks for the answer. It may be a good idea to rethink needs for villagers in a future update. Now I have like 30 villagers and it will be really difficult to keep them happy with villager's supply. Even cutting extra wood, crafting weapons or whatever they need I can't reach to keep orange face level in dynasty balance.

Keep up the good work you're doing. It's gonna be a great game! :approved:

This a thing for the next balance pass. Will happen when more functionalites are included.

This still needs to be balanced better. Me and a friend cannot keep our villagers fed. we have 10 villagers they are eating over 1000 in food a day.
I think the problem is that the villagers themselves do not contribute enough.. we have a forager, 3 fishermaen a hunter and a cook. we cannot with two of us hunting around keep them all fed.

I am not complaining just letting you know whats going on when the villages get a bit bigger.

Something wrong there, assuming you're playing the current version. I've been tracking my needs as population grows, and that's more in line with 22 (1012 meals) than with 10 villagers. Winter's Embers has a spreadsheet on Discord in the Guides-n-Hints section, Kaizen Needs and Best Items, which lists meals needs for 10 as 340, which I believe is based on the current formula. Make sure your happiness slider is set to base needs (orange) rather than boosted (green) and, if that's not the problem, try verifying your game files in case something got corrupted.

Also keep in mind that the number in parentheses is not the amount they are consuming in a day. It is how much you have in stock. The red/green number on the main page next to it is your positive/negative balance. If you wish to see the actual amount of Needs people are consuming, switch to the Jobs tab of your Dynasty page and check the column on the right hand side. This shows your production and consumption at a glance and is a valuable tool in balancing your production appropriately.

I'm having the same issue that you did. I have about 50 villagers and I can't keep up. I think I am in big trouble now. What happens when I can't feed them any longer. I've worked so hard, and have moved onto my second village to focus on more food, but that is slowing me down. I feel like I am doing all the work and no one is helping. I put food there and it's gone in minutes it seems like. Should I just start over and not have as many folks?

50 villagers is a lot. Myself I haven't tested on this scope, but it can be managed. Might try to rearrange some production lines. At the moment it won't affect the villagers this much, as the happiness system isn't in yet.

These refugees are quite needy!! I have reached level 19, and they have been unhappy since day two. That is just pushing their luck... Is there a way to kick their greedy asses out? Then their part of the deal was to work.. I am not very pleased there eather, they are lazy and just gets in my way.. Can you make these guys more effective? And also coop with each other on the fields would be great. The fields i make they use just a tiny part of.. but locks the whole field to one single villager, that is not very good. Been playing Medieval Dynasty for over 1k hours, and i hope that some of the great things in that game can be used in this...
