Finding or produce ice

Hello. Can anyone help me to build ice storage? It request 6 unit of ice and i dont know where to find it or how to produce it. Thx!

You still need to actually go there every day and rediscover the motherload, else the source for automated production disappears and your workers wont mine any ice

I tried to use the masterworks pickaxe to get ice from the ice mohterload, I could hear it cracking, but got nothing from it... so I don't understand how to mine it myself. i will try to build a mining production building by the river and see if that fixes the issue of having villagers mine the ice from the lake. If the devs would put something there to tell you how to mine it, that would be great.

I found that walking around on the ice, at some random points on the ice, a message would come up on screen - "medium ice deposit" - but there's no actual ice mound or anything... seems like it's just an invisible ice deposit, kind of like a stone deposit. I randomly hit around where I was standing and managed to hit the invisible deposit and got ice.

I think at this point in development, the systems are still buggy, so probably best to just wait it out until the devs get around to it.

Harvest are normal (4.0.4 patch), they are small, medium and large. They are just not visible at all. But there are ice cubes on the nav bar and there is always a find around nothing.

Build a fast travel point and do the mining yourself with a good pick axe at the lake or build a new village at the lake but u need to fast travel there once a day to find it.

Yes, it seems the ice storage issue has been resolved since the thread started, and we need a lot more than what we can harvest from throughs, since Sake production needs a constant flow of Ice.
They've added a lake in the middle which has Lotus in the Summer and Ice in the winter. It covers two regions, so you can place a village into either to access it by the workers.
You can also mine it yourself with a Bronze or better pickaxe. See image below.
