Is heating broke as I have a lot of fire wood and it shows i got 3120 +0 -150

that would to me - mean you got a lot of fire wood..

but you are not making any..

but using -150 a season?

ie - you got 3120 worth of firewood.. but are making none (the +0) and using -150 every season?

i know in MD "firewood" would even count sticks and such. not sure about SD.. but seems you don't have to worry about firewood for a long time.

Heating comprises all materials that have 'Villager needs: Heating' in the description. IIRC, it includes coal, firewood, sticks, bark, straw, and straw coats.

And also the Jars of Oil = do NOT put them into the liquid/beverage storage as the villagers will use it for heating.
Pu t it into you private storage sack in your own house.

Lol! I just noticed my oil supply went down last season change. I was like, what are they doing, drinking it? Drink the sake, people. Not the oil.

If you improve the structures with better material, will it decrease the heat consumption?

You can stop villager to use the thing u don't allow to. H
Use Tab to see the priority consumption, un click the Oil

if you have a fishing hut, massive oil production is no problem, i let them heat with it and use the coal for steel.

The "Priority" subhead of the Dynasty tab in the villager management screen is super important for making sure your villagers don't eat, drink, or burn things you don't want them to. Uncheck the items you don't want them to consume, so they're not eating raw ingredients that you'll want to cook for them or burning your valuable building materials when there's charcoal for the purpose.
