You didn't tell us that Accel Coda's demo was available.

I'm not a fan of Hana's updated appearance.

She got a higher poly model, hope we'll get an option to switch back.

There'll probably be an option for the original model, but I personally like it after the initial shock of seeing a change. It looks cleaner while still being believable as a late-PS1 model, the old face was particularly messy. This update will be really nice, and a nice free surprise in similar vein to the recent GoW Valhalla DLC.

Lunistice with Accel Coda was supposed to be a Dreamcast-era like sequel but the dev repurposed it as a "1.5 update" (which could have been a DLC in term of the sheer amount of changes).

As for GoW people kinda expected a sequel (but maybe it was too early).

interesting how things change. The scope was probably reduced to a point where they didn't feel that it was enough to be a sequel or paid add-on, but that certainly explains the art style change. :launchpad:

Either way, I would love to see this game get a sequel of sorts, one that adds even more game mechanics, a more elaborate story and perhaps even expanding the ranking system so that it also grades your time. Some more enemy variety would be nice to see as well.

That said, part of the appeal of this game is its pick-up-and-play simplicity compared to other games in the genre. I wouldn't want that aspect of the game to be lost in a sequel nor would I want that get taken away from this game when the Accel Coda update drops.

Why not having a game with more open ended areas or a hub level since it'd be like the Dreamcast? Crash 2 and Spyro had hubs.

Maybe adding more collectibles than the pages would be a good way to replay those levels.

Interesting ideas. I hope they decide to eventually make a sequel with a different vision since there is a lot of potential. Although, I can see why this was instead an update, I'm not even sure how you'd continue the plot as it's all contained within the program, everything outside being text files and implications left open to interpretation. I think the magic of this game's ambiguity would be lost, if there was a sequel with a more in-depth story.
