I forgot the name of the super jump, but to find it you have to find the sorrow glyph from the sunken sanctum, go to the east of the field of hydro, where you have to use the eye of gongor (from whispering forest) to unpetrify the Bird there, that will fly you to the north west of scorchwhere where you can just pick up the afterimage.
I found a few potions of oblivion, they are just hidden around the map. But honestly you don't really need them in the end, as you get more talent points than you can use anyway (depending on how thoroughly you search through the map ofc)
I really like the dualblades combined with the scythe. The dual blades are great against flying enemies since they have a skill that uses your jumps as an attack. That as a combo with with the downward air attack from the scythe puts out a ton of damage.

Not sure how weapon bonuses are applied. My assumption is that it doesn't carry over to your secondary weapon, but feel free to test and let us know.
I'll second the use of daggers/dualblades. I avoided them for the majority of my first play through (used whip/scythe), but they allowed me to burst down the end game bosses quickly, particularly the true final boss. Once they're upgraded via the Talent Tree it has a great move set both on the ground and in the air.
