But damn they really need to chill with those brand intro when opening the game, its like 69420 "bandai namco" screen and then you have the most basic "start game - option" main screen available. Really put off the urge to play
I like the progression the most, you gain exp to lvl up and improve character talents. Feels like RPG but also vania
Already beat 2 bosses they are fair good
I only found them in some ancient language I can't understand.
I was looking why the reviews were so low. I don't know. Playing the game a short while it is rather impressive with its art work, super responsive controls, great combat.
Maybe people are having system issues?
-it doesn't have an invincible dodge / parry; and
-it has contact damage
which are pretty common in more modern metroidvanias (without realising that not every metroidvania goes for that style of combat).
Personally, while I think it looks great and plays pretty decently, I think the English translation is very rough, to the point that I'm holding off in the hopes that it improves someday.
This person has issues with how mapping works, something about the enemy’s attack animations, the death animation and the fact you have to grab your money & exp and lacking explanations. With the last one, I’m not sure if it’s about the world building/lore or gameplay.
Other than that I love it so far. Gameplay is fun, visuals are great, and the music is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ incredible.
What is the thing with contact damage? Thats new for me after tons of metroidvanias... I mean... NO CONTACT DAMAGE? What? :D That would be stupid... so u just... walk into an enemy and nothing happens? What kind of games are they playin'?
With an invincible dodge, the game would be too easy. The bosses are designed around the dodge. Until now, its not a hard game but i died a few times, with invicibility dodge or no contact damage this game would be a joke.
