GoliathFall blocked by the red barriers that you get the ability to traverse from GF boss?

If I'm understanding correctly from the guide & map I looked at, GoliathFall is the area North of the Rainbow Plains and West of the Field of Geo. But both of those entrances are blocked off by the red barriers. But you get the ability to traverse the red barriers from a boss in GoliathFall? What am I missing? How do I get to GF for the first time and acquire the crimson cape? TIA

North of Raimbow Plains / East of Scorchwhere is a dead end.
West of the Field of Geo, you have a door to open, then you enter Goliath Fall.
You need to go to the far West of the area to encounter the boss that drops the Crimson Cape. If you see the Big tp tree, you are near the boss.
South is the dead end of Raimbow Plains and North is another boss.
