Doing End game stuff. Level 74. Anyone know a good place to farm the lat bits of exp to level up to 99?

after u reached deepest place in Sunken sanctum (The place where u get 3 Renee endings) u can try farming the boss there for exp, im lvl 91 and that boss still give me 1 lvl per kill

There's a Youtube video floating around of a player destroying that boss ~1 minute with a dagger set-up (@Ana, that you?). And while that boss can be challenging when you first encounter them, especially without the triple jump, their move set is very easy to learn and punish. If you can burst them down quickly it's probably the best experience return on time invested.

I can beat the Guider with little issue, but the Red just destroys me in seconds

I dont really know why would you need to farm exp in the first place, considering it you just dont run around whole map ignoring enemies than you should be easy level 80 before you attempt the Normal Endings. And around level 90+ when going for Ifree endings.
Also for Red Renee you dont even need triple jump if you have the upgraded dodge. Cause you can use it to dodge all attacks and punish her each time.

So I ended up finishing all the endings (including NG+) at level 81. Grinding for levels was taking way too long for my taste.

See thats what i dont get. Cause this means you completed all the content in the game and you are trying for an achievement, but only achievement hunters would go for an achievement after completing the whole content of the game, and those people dont mind tripling the time needed for a game just for 1 achievement. More, you already beat the game so its common sense that the last area before the end boss gives more exp than anyother place, so this question is simply pointless.

u dont have to pick the options to fight both just pick the option that lets u fight guider only and keep killing her it'll be fine, for red she's easier than guider for me anyway and she's the only boss that dont have collisions dmg so u can just hug her and keep hitting her while using your upgraded dash to dodge her skill

So here was my thought process: I was trying to do the Red R boss fight, but she was destroying me (hadn't figured out her pattern yet). So I though maybe maxing out my level would help a bit. Since at that time I hadn't unlocked the very last area of the game, there are many places where you could grind (fields of pyro, scorchwhere, castle in the sky). And with those, there might be a specific path that makes exp farming more efficient (density of enemies, xp yield, how fast a run, etc).

And so here why I asked the question. I don't think it is an unusual question. I see it asked all the time for many games.

Getting to level 99 is really only for the achievement. I'm definitely not suggesting this is something everyone should do. And totally agree that if you're consistently fighting most enemies you come across and do some backtracking or item hunting with Se's Treasurescope you'll hit level 75-80 by end game.

welp FYI if u going for all 10 endings then u're gonna reach 99 without any lvling, by the time im doing the last ending a.k.a true end im already 99 just by killing enemies on my way while collecting all the require item for the ending

I did not even do all endings and I'm already at 99 for some time.

But field of pyro is the last area. Which again does not make sense, if the final boss in the final area is too hard and you want to farm exp, than you already are in the best possible area. No disrespect here I'm just confused as to why this question was even made.

Also some players are not as capable as the rest of us, and need the extra boost gained from levels, to overcome some obstacles that skill/practice can get you past.

After finishing the game at 80 I farmed out to 99 in about an half an hour in the last area killing obsidian Colosus.. Literally the last warp with the stone rod, eseus mask and full exp gear

It's not as much confusing as to why farm, but more as to why this question was made in the first place, he already confirmed several times he has access to the last area considering that he was stuck at final boss. So he already was in the best place to farm.
