Best weapon types?

Up until the midgame, I've just been using whatever has the highest stats without putting much thought into it, but enemies are starting to get pretty tanky. Are certain weapon types clearly superior to others in damage output or is it pretty even overall?

I think it's just the matter of personal preferences .-.
Finished the game with Greatsword + Blade while using jump-attack 90% of time XD

Blade with skill: thousand crosses + Instant, kinda OP

Celestial blades is the best weapon with arguably the highest skillcap. Starry Night as secondary for parrying

Can anyone help me with the weapons list. I'm missing:

1)Sword between Blackwood and Guardian
2) Between Sword of Hermit and Phantom
3) Scythe after Ember before Scarlet Reaper
4) Greatsword after Blackwood and before Iron
5) After Judicator Greatsword before Stainless
6) After Stainless before Dauntless
7) Two spots for dual blades after Ancient Fangs but before Icy Flames
8) After Torment Whip before Scourge of Blossom
9) After Flaming Cycle before Pyro Calamity
10) After Se no Sen before Kamui

Any and all help is much appreciated!
