Hello everybody, I am about 40 games of gameplay and I feel very lost sometimes.
I guess I will need the skill that breaks the ground for me to progress.

Where can I find it?

Also, I can't touch the water still.
So far I have:
Emblem of windwalker
Wanderirg Warrios Necklace
Clammy Whistle
Flower of confluence
Left-wing Feather of WindWalker
Windwalker Anklet - ( I got the item that allows perform it twice)

Also got an item that allows to see on mist: Eye of Truth

you get the water breathing skill once you reach misty waters, i dont know where the ground break skill is but you dont need it to reach the final boss

I would go get the triple jump next. Abledo's Tower > Sky Palace > Heart of Veins. When in the Sky Palace zoom out to the larger map. See that big "chunk" on the left-hand side. The upper one connects to Heart of Veins. Once there go all the way to the left (just let the currents take you to where you need to go).

From there, I would go to Fields of Pyro > take the boat to the back half of Rubiwood Desert and the new zone Scorchwhere. Kill all of the bosses and start getting the 3 endings in Pyro Fields and 3 endings in Sanctum.

At some point you can return to the Field of Hydro with the right glyph to get the super jump beyond that locked door. Also need the anti-petrification skil from Gongor in Whispering Forest. That's off the top of my head.

I'd also work on Owl/Levine's quest for the soul invade ability.

Oh, sorry, I thought you were *way* later in the game than you actually are. Have you gained access to the Manta yet to explore the world map?

If so, do all of the events in Whispering Forest > Forest Foregone > Silent Coast > Field of Hydro.

If not, go to Ashen Canyon (red zone) stay at the very top, fight the wolf boss, and at the end will be the dock where you can call the Manta.

You'll pick up the wall climb and ground slam abilities on your way FYI. And, Whispering Forest is the area with rats that explode, pink flowers you have to hit before you can stand on them.

I guess I finished the whispering forest.
I got the wall jump and found the big head that tells me to go to spirit institute, it activated a portal that will take me to misty waters.

However, what is the spirit institute? If I have been there I don’t have deciphered yet. Is it the castle like map that is located in the center of world map, accessed with manta?

Where in the world is ground slam? I have water breathing and I've talked to Owl once and did the ritual. He wants me to go to God's Hall, but I can't find any new places I haven't been that aren't blocked by a red wall or needing ground slam.

You should have picked it up on your way to Field of Hydro. In Forest Foregone go to the left of the second save point, go down, go left, and take the first path upward into a ruin/tower/institute and there will be a boss at the top.

After the teleporter you need to go upwards, I believe the zone background is blue and kind of sci fi tech looking, it's hard to describe from memory, but you should be getting it after the zone you learned wall climbing, if you already got water breathing it was in the previous area since you learn that afterwards.

Got a quick question. I'm at the part where I've gotten the manta to let me travel around. I went to the Whispering Forest, as advised above (with the exploding rats, etc.); there's a part where I need to jump much higher than I can in order to proceed to the first Confluence. What am I missing? Aside from the basic double jump, I have no extra jumping abilities.
