Where is the lake ?

Heyo;

So I just retrieved the 'Clammy Whistle' from the Town of the Exiled, and I found the location use it.

On the following island I found a small fountain with blue and black tentacles, and attacking the tentacles triggered a pop up saying something to the effect of 'there was a commotion at the lake'.

Does anyone know where this lake is ?

I feel like I've checked most of the map that's currently available to me, and I haven't encountered anything that could be described as a 'lake'...

Where is the area with the tentacles please? Is it in the Village of the Exiled, The Columns or Emerlad Falls maybe?

It's after a boss fight accessed through The Columns or the Eastern Part of The Village. You do have to beat the main boss in the village though.

Thank you for the reply. So if I understand it right you mean that red area with really tough enemies and level 60something recommended? I thought I am definately not supposed to be there with my level 43 but ok if ya say so. I really see no other way to progress anywhere else anyway.

Yes, just go right (NOT down unless you want to die) in the red area (Ashen Canyon). You'll fight a wolf boss if I'm remembering correctly. It drops an item that allows you to equip a second accessory.

You can summon the Manta that will take you to the world map to access other area. Your next destination for game progression is called Whispering Forest (not the desert or the ruined jungle area).
