Clanfolk can fall in love, and more variety to social interactions
I'd like to see clanfolk fall in love. It would be cool to have a feature that has two young people falling in love and declaring a desire to marry each other, and the clan leader has to decide whether to allow the match or not. Maybe diplomatic reasons could factor into this once clan diplomacy becomes more fleshed out. Or maybe the individuals are totally incompatible with each other and even though marrying might make them happy now it would be a bad match long term (I mean who hasn't fallen for somebody completely wrong for them at some point in their lives?) To this end, it would be nice to see a good or a bad marriage have more in-game consequences for colonists, as well as more variety to social interactions in general. For example maybe two incompatible partners could get into frequent marital spats, which would affect their mood. Also, perhaps two young people who are thwarted in love could occasionally resort to desperate measures and decide to run away together. Lots of possibilities here to create interesting stories!


Just my two cents though, really enjoying the game so far!

Well, a few of us have been blessed with a perfect match. I can say from experience that "Marital Bliss" would be an awesome buff for Clansfolk that get to find their One & Only.
I would peg it at +5/s to Mood (or more), and maybe a bonus to max Warmth while sleeping.

Totally, that would be the flip side of it!
This actually plays really well into the new interaction mechanic that has been implemented. Right now, I have a worker that wants to join the family but is indifferent to the only eligible partner. It would be interesting to see how one could join the family either without marrying or falling for someone before they are fully satisfied.

That brings me to the idea of adoption or wards? Can we get workers that want to join the family but becoming adopted?
