Clothing Inventory

On the inventory tab for clothing, is the amount shown in inventory the amount in storage containers and being worn by people?

Or does that number not count what's currently being worn?

It shows the total amount owned by your colony, including worn items. Similarly, orders placed at the Clothes Zone / Tailoring Bench will count currently-worn items towards the order limit. Note that they do not count clothing borrowed by workers / travelers, even though you get the borrowed items back when they leave, which can lead to your peeps making extra clothing items.
