Do walls catch fire from sparks? And floors?
I know that roofs aren't supposed to catch fire from sparks themselves - only if sparks set something on fire in the room. Is it the same for walls/floors? I never use hay, wood or anything for walls (would love to use wood lol) because of flammability factor. Thanks.

Walls and floors can catch fire from sparks, yes. However, only the area covered by the spark radius (red circle or arc around the fire source when you click on it) needs to be fireproof, so you can have a small "hearth" area around the fire where the walls and floor are stone/brick/whatever, and the rest of the build can be wood.

For lighting, the iron torches and the rushlights are non-sparking (rushlights require a decorative table for use, though). For heating, the peat stoves are also sparkproof.

last I saw yes walls can catch fire though the trick with walls to prevent that is just put stone walls around the fire the rest then can be wood (the fires have a red ring of doom showing where the sparks go)
