warfare needs serious work, plus some opinions on the game.
It's late as i'm writing this, I stayed up all night for the game launch so bear with me here please.

warscore seems arbitrary to whats actually happening in the war. I have all of their provinces captured and the enemy still refuses peace deals despite having no land, units, nothing. they will not capitulate.

the frontline system needs work ASAP. currently, if you set up a offensive order the units will ALL stack on one tile, move all in one group down to the edge of your offensive line and THEN spread out to capture your line. the issue is all of the territory behind them is just sitting there uncaptured. so think of their attack like a sideways L.

PLEASE just copy hoi4's system where they stack up on the border and capture provinces one at a time while working towards your offensive line.

jets are a pain to micromanage and deal with, half the time they are unresponsive, they should feel more autonomous in their dealings, maybe make it so you can assign them to a region and they will undertake missions as they see fit, similar to hoi4.

ships are an under baked mechanic and I know this is being worked on.

the ai also seems extremely passive in wars, they don't like to do very much.

please make it so the ai will upgrade their units as time goes on, because currently all they do is keep mass producing the units they get at the very start and do nothing else.

resources need to feel more manageable, I can't produce any units whatsoever for years because I have no resources and seemingly no way to increase their production or buy them (if so the menus are clunky and hard to navigate)

tech feels weird, there needs to be like connected lines to the new tech, and maybe not so spread out. currently the game requires a lot of clicking and scrolling which sucks for people like me who have developed carpal tunnel for playing these games for thousands of hours.

the speed of the game is good. research should be automated to an extent, in fact most of the economy should be automated if possible, and it should stop prompting up that the ai is going to build X building nonstop.

Missiles are designed ok-ish. the menu is easy to understand and launch attacks. I wish the graphics of the missiles hitting looked a bit cooler, maybe some more lines to simulate a true all out assault.

battles need to have a green bubble similar to hoi4, it is simply just the best way to show how well a battle is going, and there needs to be more graphics done to the military. it's weird seeing 1 tank fight 1 tank when you have THOUSANDS in the battle. it's also weird seeing the USA using T-70 SOV tanks for the graphics.

ultimately the game functions (mostly) but it is playable barring some minor bugs. I highly encourage you to steal ideas and design choices from hoi4, stellaris, P&R, supreme ruler 2030, victoria 3, and other games in the series.

is the game worth buying right now? I would say yes, please help this developer get off his feet. the game is not a scam and there is true work and soul put into it.

How do you assign units to fight automatically?? I was trying to do that but ended up having to manually move every unit into every province and it almost made me refund the game 😷😩

Select all of a certain type of unit, click create army on the left side panel and you will have your orders there as well, defensive and offensive line. They do need work but they do function. Sorry if I can’t be more clear, I’m in bed at the moment.

Shame about the combat, was tempted to get this game but the micro RTS style combat is hot garbage. I know everyone hates on Vic3 warfare system but thats the future of grand strategy combat.

It's not. I still hate the mechanic.

I prefer supreme ruler's warfare mechanic than that with AI assist.

I haven't played warfare in this game yet, though.
