Thanks for your feedback! The reason the Santa items are limited is because it wouldn't really make sense to meet Santa in a time other than the yule season. We could also add the items to the genie, since that is a magical way to get almost every item. But then it would be way less special to meet Santa in the game.
I agree that it is mandatory to guarantee that seasonal items will never disappear from the game entirely. So what we can do is to either make the update work forever via checking the computer date or by adding the items to the genie at some point later. Or a merchant in town sells these for really high prices.
